Low Pressure Develops Over East Central Arabian Sea

Current Weather Conditions on 8th June 2014 @ 8.00 pm.

Yesterday there was an east-west shear zone along latitude 12.0°N with embedded Cyclonic Circulation over the East Central Arabian Sea & neighborhood extending up to Mid-tropospheric level. Under its influence, a Low Pressure area has developed this morning over location 13.1°N & 69.2°E.   This System had already started being monitored by NRL as 95A.INVEST from 1330z on 7th June 2014 start location 12.1°N & 69.3°E.

Forecast:

The Low Pressure System is expected to track initially mainly Northerly direction.

Possibility of Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch could get light scattered shower/rain due to nearby clouding associated with the Low Pressure from 10th to 13th June. Updates will be given as and when warranted.
