Southwest Monsoon Withdraws Completely From Whole Gujarat

Current Weather Conditions on 12th October 2011 @ 11.00 am.

Yesterday Southwest Monsoon withdrew from remaining parts of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, many parts of Bihar, some parts of Jharkhand, north Chhattishgarh and North Maharashtra. The withdrawal line of Monsoon passes through Lat. 28.0°N / Long. 87.0°E, Forbesgunj, Gaya, Pendra, Nagpur, Akola, Malegaon, Dahanu, Lat. 20.0°N / Long. 70.0°E and Lat. 20.0°N / Long. 65.0°E.

The Maximum Temperatures were above normal over Saurashtra and Gujarat. The Maximum Temepratrue at rajkot was 37.6 Degrees C. which is about 3 Degrees above normal. The highest Maximum Temperature of 38.5°C was recorded at Deesa in Gujarat as well as Veraval being 6 Degrees above normal and Surendranagar in Saurashtra was also 38.5°C.

Forecast: 12th to 16th October

The Maximum Temeperatures are expected to remain high. Mainly dry weather is expected during the forecast period.
