Depression Over West Central Arabian Sea

Current Weather Conditions on 29th October 2011 @ 8.00 pm.

The Well Marked Low Pressure intensified to a Depression over West Central and adjoining Southwest Arabian Sea. System tracked Westward and lay centered at This evening near Latitude 13.00N and Longitude 61.00E, about 1500 km West of Mangalore (Karnataka),750 km East of Socotra Island (Yemen) and 850 km Southeast of Salalah (Oman).

The Convective clouds associated with this System are spread over a very Large area across more than 1800 Kms. in the East- West Direction.

The System is expected to move further North Northwestwards away from West coast of India. However, some forecast models see this System to recurve towards Pakistan Coast after three days. Hence, the system will be monitored for its further development. Also on some days parts of the cloud swirls could come over Saurashtra & Kutch. Hence, there is possibility of some showers/rain within a few days.
