Arabian Sea Depression Tracking Towards Oman

Current Weather Conditions on 30th October 2011 @ 8.00 pm.

The Depression over West Central and adjoining Southwest Arabian Sea. System tracked Northwestward and lay centered this evening near Latitude 13.5N and Longitude 59.5E, about 1650 km West Northwest of Mangalore (Karnataka),600 km East of Socotra Island (Yemen) and 700 km Southeast of Salalah (Oman).

The Convective clouds associated with this System are spread over a very Large area across more than 1500 Kms. in the NorthEast- Southwest Orientation.

The System is expected to move further Northwestwards away from West coast of India. However, some forecast models see this System to re-curve towards Pakistan Coast after two days. On some days parts of the cloud swirls could come over Saurashtra & Kutch. Hence, there is possibility of some showers/rain on one or two days up to 4th November.
