Bay Of Bengal System Strengthens To Cyclonic Storm “NILAM”

Current Weather Conditions on 30th October 2012 @ 7.30 pm.

Deep Depression over the Bay of Bengal has strengthened further to a Cyclonic Storm “NILAM” as per RSMC the System remained practically stationary and lay centered at 9.5N and 82.0E at 2.30 pm IST, the 30th October 2012, about 450 Kms. South Southeast of Chennai. This is as per RSMC TROPICAL STORM ‘NILAM’ ADVISORY NO THREE issued today.

Based on 1200 UTC JTWC puts this System at 45 knots winds (about 85 Kms. winds 1 miute ave. speed.) and 993 Mb. Central Pressure located at 9.5N & 82.9 E. about 350 Kms. East Southeast of South Tamilnadu Coast.
