Arabian Arm Of Southwest Monsoon Stuck While Bay Arm Races Forward

Current Weather Conditions on 21st June 2011 @ 5.30 pm.

The Arabian Sea arm of Southwest Monsoon is stuck at Porbandar Veraval from 13th June while the Bay of Bengal arm has swept across West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhatishgarh, Orissa, Vidarbha, parts of M.P. parts of U.P. from 13th till date.

Monsoon Watch
Southwest monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
The northern limit of monsoon (NLM) passes through 22.0°N/60.0°E, Porbandar, Veraval, Dahanu, Nasik, Washim, Sagar, Nowgong, Shahjahanpur, Mukteshwar and Lat 31.0°N/ Long. 80.0°E.
Conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some more parts of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and some parts of east Rajasthan during next 2-3 days.
