Rainfall Forecast For Gujarat By 30th July

Current Weather Conditions on 28th July 2012 @ 11.30 am.

There is Mid Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation over Gangetic West Bengal & vicinity.There is another Mid Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation over Madhya Pradesh region which persists from 26th July has moved to North & Northwest Madhya Pradesh.

The Axis of Monsoon trough which currently passes through Dholpur, Banda, Daltonganj, Kolkata and thence Southeastwards to Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Hence we see that both these Mid Upper Air Cyclonic Circulations are embedded in the Axis of Monsoon which runs 1.5 Kms. above mean sea level.

Convective clouds associated with the Mid UAC over Madhya Pradesh are present to the Southwest of the UAC and covers West Madhya Pradesh most of Gujarat and parts of Saurashtra.

Forecast:

West Madhya Pradesh is forecast to get 10 Cms. to 15 Cms. of rainfall by 30th July.

North Gujarat forecast to get 3 Cms.to 5 Cms. of rainfall by 30th July.

M.P.Gujarat border areas to get 8 Cms. to 10 Cms. of rainfall by 30th July

Central Gujarat forecast to get 3 Cms. to 5 Cms. of rainfall by 30th July.

South Gujarat forecast to get 5 Cms. to 10 Cms. of rainfall by 31st July.

Saurashtra forecast to get scattered showers on 29th & 30th July with some parts getting 1 Cm. to 3 Cms. rainfall.
