Unseasonal Rain Continues To Batter Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat

Current Weather Conditions on 23nd November 2010 @ 11.00 am.

Widespread unseasonal rainfall has occurred over Saurashtra, Kutch and Gujarat ranging from 2 Cms. to 10 Cms. at various places. Yesterday the Daytime Maximum Temperature was 7 Degrees below normal for Rajkot at 25.7 Degrees C while the Night Minimum Temperature was 2 Degrees above normal at 16.7 Degrees C. Today the Daytime Temperature has dropped drastically and currently it is 17 Degrees C. Rainfall recorded for 22nd. November at Rajkot by RingRoad Weather Station was 30 mm. Rainfall at Rajkot from midnight till 11.00 am. is 7 mm.

Lot of moisture incursion has taken place over Saurashtra, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and upto Haryana and Delhi. Convective clouds are seen over Coastal Saurashtra from Porbandar Veraval, Mahuva to Bhavnagar.

Forecast:
Heavy moisture incursion over Saurashtra, Kutch, Gujarat will cause unseasonal rain over most parts of Saurashtra especially the coastal regions today and decrease from tomorrow. Scattered unseasonal rain will occur over rest of Gujarat, Kutch and Saurashtra.
