Coastal Saurashtra Battered With Unseasonal Rain

Current Weather Conditions on 22nd November 2010 @ 5.30 pm.

Rainfall has been reported from various places of Saurashtra, Kutch and Gujarat amounting to just scattered showers to 1 Cm. to 3 Cms. Yesterday the Daytime Maximum Temperature is 6 Degrees below normal for Rajkot at 27.5 Degrees C while the Night Minimum Temperature is 3 Degrees above normal at 18.1 Degrees C. Today the Daytime Temperature will be between 20 to 24 Degrees C. Rainfall recorded for 22nd. November till now at Rajkot by RingRoad Weather Station is 9.2 mm.

Lot of moisture incursion has taken place over Saurashtra, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and upto Haryana and Delhi. Convective clouds are seen over Coastal Saurashtra from Mahuva to Porbandar and upto 50 Kms. inland which would travel further inland.

Arabian Sea Low Pressure update:
As per NRL: Low Pressure has disappeared morning 22nd. November.
As per IMD the Low still persists at 0830 am. morning of 22nd November.

Forecast:
Heavy moisture incurssion over Saurashtra, Kutch, Gujarat will cause unseasonal rain over most parts of Saurashtra especially the coastal regions today, tomorrow and decrease thereafter. Scattered unseasonal rain will occur over rest of Gujarat, Kutch and Saurashtra.
