Isolated/Scattered Showers/Rain Expected Over Gujarat, Saurashtra & Kutch | Forecast: 4th–10 August 2025

Meteorological Analysis 4th August 2025

(Based on 0530 hours IST)

  • The monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through Amritsar, Dehradun, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Patna, Purnea, and extends southeastwards to the northeast Bay of Bengal.

  • The upper air cyclonic circulation over the southwest Bay of Bengal, off the north Tamil Nadu coast, persists. It is now seen between 3.1 km and 5.8 km above mean sea level, tilting southward with height.

  • An east-west trough is now located roughly along Latitude 10°N, extending from the southeast Arabian Sea to the central parts of the south Bay of Bengal, between 4.5 km and 7.6 km above mean sea level.

  • The upper air cyclonic circulation over the northeast Arabian Sea and its neighborhood at 5.8 km above mean sea level persists.

  • The upper air cyclonic circulation over north Gujarat and adjoining south Rajasthan at 3.1 km above mean sea level also persists.

  • A Western Disturbance, seen as a trough in the middle and upper tropospheric levels, lies with its axis at 5.8 km above mean sea level roughly along Longitude 74°E, north of Latitude 32°N, and persists.

Rainfall Forecast for Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat

Forecast Period: 4th–10th August 2025

Although there are two UAC near Gujarat State, they lack good humidity at those levels. Humidity is present at 1.5 km level over Gujarat State. Scattered showers and light to moderate rainfall (5 to 20 mm) are likely on many days. On two of the days, different very isolated pockets could receive up to 35 mm rainfall. Overall, the rainfall is expected to remain below normal during the forecast period in Saurashtra & Kutch. Gujarat Region expected to get more coverage compared to Saurashtra & Kutch. Windy conditions will prevail on many days due to winds over Gujarat State from Arabian Sea.

  • સમુદ્ર સપાટીએનો મોનસૂન ટ્રફ હવે અમૃતસર, દેહરાદૂન, બરેલી, ગોરખપુર, પટણા, પુરનીયાથી પસાર થઈને પૂર્વ દિશામાં ઉત્તર-પૂર્વ બંગાળની ખાડી સુધી વિસ્તરે છે.

  • એક યુએસી 3.1 કિમિ અને 5.8 કિમિ લેવલ માં દક્ષિણ પશ્ચિમ બંગાળ ની ખાડી પર નોર્થ તામિલનાડુ કિનારા નજીક યથાવત છે અને વધતી ઊંચાઈએ દક્ષિણ પશ્ચિમ તરફ ઝુકે છે.

  • એક પૂર્વથી પશ્ચિમ દિશામાં ચાલતો ટ્રફ 4.5 કિમીથી 7.6 કિમી ઊંચાઈ વચ્ચે હવે અંદાજે અક્ષાંશ 10°ઉ ઉપર સ્થિત છે, જે દક્ષિણપૂર્વ અરબી સમુદ્રથી દક્ષિણ બંગાળની ખાડીના મધ્ય ભાગો સુધી જાય છે.

  • ઉત્તર-પૂર્વ અરબી સમુદ્ર અને આસપાસના વિસ્તાર ઉપરનું ઉપરનું યુએસી 3.1 કિમિ લગભગ 5.8 કિમી ઊંચાઈએ યથાવત્ છે.

  • ઉત્તર ગુજરાત અને લાગુ દક્ષિણ રાજસ્થાન ઉપરનું યુએસી 3.1 કિમિ પર સ્થિર છે.

  • એક વેસ્ટર્ન ડિસ્ટર્બન્સ, જે મધ્ય અને ઉપરી ટ્રોપોસ્ફેરિક સ્તરોમાં ટ્રફ તરીકે જોવા મળે છે, તેની ધરી (axis) અંદાજે  74°E પર અને 32°N  ઉત્તરે 5.8 કિમી ઊંચાઈએ સ્થિત છે.

આગાહી: સૌરાષ્ટ્ર, કચ્છ અને ગુજરાત – 4 થી 10 ઓગસ્ટ 2025

ગુજરાત રાજ્ય નજીક બે યુએસી હોવા છતાં તે લેવલ માં ભેજ ઓછો છે. 1.5 કિમિ લેવલ માં ભેજ છે. ઘણા દિવસો દરમિયાન છૂટાછવાયા ઝાપટા અને હળવો મધ્યમ વરસાદ (૫ થી ૨૦ મી.મી.) જોવા મળી શકે છે. અલગ અલગ બે દિવસ, કેટલાક ખૂબ જ મર્યાદિત વિસ્તારોમાં ૩૫ મી.મી. જેટલો વરસાદ પડી શકે છે. પૂર્વાનુમાન દરમ્યાન સૌરાષ્ટ્ર અને કચ્છમાં સામાન્ય કરતાં ઓછો વરસાદ રહેવાની શક્યતા છે. ગુજરાત રિજિયન માં વરસાદ નો વિસ્તાર સૌરાષ્ટ્ર કચ્છ કરતા વધુ રહેવાની શક્યતા. આગાહી સમય માં અરબી સમુદ્ર ના પવનો નું જોર ગુજરાત રાજ્ય માં ઘણા દિવસ રહેશે.
