️ Maximum Temperature Observations – 11 May 2025:

  • Rajkot: 36.4°C (4.5°C below normal)

  • Deesa: 38.0°C (2.5°C below normal)

  • Ahmedabad: 36.6°C (5.0°C below normal)

  • Gandhinagar: 37.0°C (4.5°C below normal)

  • Bhuj: 40.2°C (1.0°C above normal)

Overall, maximum temperatures are 2°C to 5°C below normal across most parts of Gujarat.

  • An Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation (UAC) is present over the East Arabian Sea at ~3.1 km above mean sea level and a trough from the UAC extends towards Saurashtra.

  • Southwest Monsoon is very likely to advance into:

    • South Andaman Sea

    • Some parts of Southeast Bay of Bengal

    • Nicobar Islands around 13 May 2025

Further advancement likely over:

  • South Arabian Sea, Maldives, Comorin area

  • More parts of South Bay of Bengal

  • Entire Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Andaman Sea

  • Some parts of Central Bay of Bengal

  • Predominantly West/Southwest winds

  • Occasional South winds during the later part of the period
