Bay Of Bengal System Strengthens To A Well Marked Low Pressure

Current Weather Conditions on 17th November 2012 @ 9.00am.

Low Pressure area that developed over the over the Bay Of Bengal on 14th November at 0000 UTC around 9.00 N & 90.0 E. tracked mostly Northerly direction during the last three days and this morning at 0000 UTC was located at 15.2 N & 89.9 E. . This System has strengthened to a Well Marked Low Pressure with 20 knots winds and 1007 Mb. Pressure. The system had tracked North Northeastwards for two days and yesterday overall towards West giving the net effect of over all Northerly track during the last three days.  The convective clouds associated with this System are now more organized.

This System will track initially towards the Odisha coast but will remain far from the Coast. Subsequently the System is expected to track quite far along the Odisha and then along Andhra coast during the next two three days.
