Saurashtra Finally Starts To Get Some Meaningful Rainfall

The low pressure form the Bay of Bengal has tracked Northwestwards and is currently over north Chhattisgarh and vicinity. Associated Convective clouds are spread to the West and Southwest of the Sysytem. Some convective clouds are spread over the Arabian Sea along the West Coast.

There is also a Mid Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation over Saurashtra, Gujarat and vicinity. The Monsoon trough has also become active.

There has been scattered rain/showers over many parts of Saurashtra during the last two three days. The rain quantum has increased compared to last week.

Forecast: 27th to 30th August Saurashtra & Kutch

Saurashtra will continue to get scattered showers and or light rain during the forecast period. the quantum and area is expected to be better than last week.

Good chance of some rain for Kutch during this period.

Monsoon normally withdraws from Saurashtra around the last week of September so there is scope for rain between now and September end. Also post Monsoon withdrawal there is scope for Cyclonic activity benefiting Saurashtra, Kutch And Gujarat, so hope for rain should not be ruled out.
