The Cyclonic Circulation near Shri Lanka And Kerala Coast vicinity yesterday had strengthened to a Low Pressure yesterday evening and has further strengthened to a Well Marked Low Pressure this morning. The system is located South of Kanyakumari and West of Shri Lanka at 7.1N and 78.2E. with winds at 45 to 50 Kms./Hour with Central Pressure of 1004 Mb. The Convective cloud associated with this system are spread over a big area on both the sides of the Indian ocean viz. South East Arabian Sea and South West Bay of Bengal.
Very heavy rains have occurred over South India and is expected to exceed yesterday's forecast quantity.
