Low Pressure in Arabian Sea & Depression Over Orissa N/H

Current Weather Conditions on 23rd September 2007 @ 5.00 pm.

The Cyclonic Circulation over Saurashtra, Gujarat, Arabian Sea near Mumbai has developed into a Low Pressure in the Arabian Sea lying 100 Kms. South of Saurashtra.

The Depression in the Bay of Bengal has crossed over the Orissa Coast and is now lying over Orissa and neighbouring area. It is expected to move in a North Westwards direction.

There is also an active monsoon system along the West Coast from Kerala to Maharashtra.

23rd September to 26th September: Under the effect of the Arabian Sea Low, there will be scattered rainfall in Saurashtra. However, the intensity of rains over Saurashtra will be determined by the outcome of the Arabian Sea Low.

23rd September to 27th September: Heavy rains is expected over Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, Coastal Maharashtra, West Bengal, Orissa, Chhatisgarh, Bihar, U.P. Utranchal, Himachal Pradesh & Jammu & Kashmir. Moderate rain is expected over Rajastan, Punjab & Haryana during the forecast period.
