Relief From Rain Expected For Saurashtra 5th To 8th October

Current Weather Conditions on 4th October 2013 @ 5.30 pm.

There has been scattered rainfall over parts of Saurashtra on three of the four days from 1st October to 4th October. The main reason for this round of rainfall was the passing of the Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation that came back from Rajasthan (The same System that gave extremely heavy rainfall over North, Central & South Gujarat, Saurashtra & Kutch from 22nd to 28th September). On 30th September this UAC was located vicinity of Southeast Rajasthan. Subsequently it tracked over North Gujarat on 1st October, over Saurashtra and adjoining Arabian Sea as a Low pressure on 2nd October, tracked Southwards Arabian Sea on 3rd October and this evening was located over East Central Arabian Sea about 350 Kms. West of Goa. This Low Pressure is being monitored by NRL as 99A.INVEST

The Low Pressure Area over Central parts of North Madhya Pradesh and neighborhood persists with associated UAC extending up to 3.6 Kms. This System has given rainfall over adjoining areas of M.P. & U.P.

Forecast: 5th October to 8th October

Saurashtra:

The area of rainfall as well as quantum will decrease during the forecast period. There could be isolated showers.

South Gujarat:

Some scattered showers on one or two days during the forecast period. Quantum will be less.

North Gujarat & Kutch:

No rain expected over most parts of the regions on most days during the forecast period.
