Monsoon Watch
Southwest monsoon has further advanced into most parts of southeast Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea and some parts of southwest & eastcentral Bay of Bengal. The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) passes through Lat. 5.0°N/Long. 83.0°E, Lat. 10.0°N/Long. 86.0°E, Lat. 14.0°N/Long. 91.0°E and Lat. 16.0°N/Long. 96.0°E.
Conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some parts of Maldive and Comorin area, some parts of south & central Bay of Bengal and remaining parts of Andaman Sea during next 2-3
days.
