Monsoon Withdraws From Major Parts of Rajasthan

Current Weather Conditions on 25th September 2010 @ 7.00 pm.

The weather has been dry over Saurashtra with lot of sunshine. Rains over North India has now decreased. Rains have now started over South India. Monsoon has withdrawn from most parts of Rajasthan. The humidity over Rajasthan has decreased and an Anti-cyclone had developed over Rajasthan at 850 mb. This signals the start of withdrawal of Monsoon over North West India specifically Rajasthan.

Forecast:

There is a Cyclonic Circulation over Peninsular India and broad vicinity of Peninsular India. Monsoon is expected to be active over Peninsular India during the next five days. Kerala and Karnataka is expected to receive 7 Cms. to 12 Cms. of scattered rainfall and adjoining Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra could get about 3 Cms. to 7 Cms. of rainfall by 30th September.

Saurashtra:
Mainly sunny with less chance of rain during the next three to four
days.
