Cyclone "WARD" Track Is Erratic – Moves South Westwards

Current Weather Conditions on 12th December 2009 @ 6.00 pm.

The Cyclonic Storm "WARD" has tracked little South Westwards during the past 6 Hours instead of North westwards and is currently lying at 9N 83.5E about 400 Kms. East South East of Tamilnadu Coast. The Central Pressure of the System is 989 Mb. with winds of 80 Kms./Hour and gusts of 100 Kms./Hour. The sea is rough with wave heights of 4 Meters.

Forecast:

The Tropical Cyclone "WARD" or the Cyclonic Storm "WARD" is expected to track in the Westerly direction during the next 12 Hours towards the Tamilnadu Coast. However, there is a possibility of track change so the System is warranted to be watched closely.
