The Northern end of the Off-shore trough running from Goa towards Saurashtra was quite far from Saurashtra. However, today the Northern end of the Off-shore trough is near Saurashtra. Yesterday there has been heavy rain of about 4 to 8 Cms. at Shapar, Raoki, Khambha and other villages which are just within 20 Kms. of Rajkot City. However, various areas of Rajkot City just received few showers and some areas did not receive any rain at all.

Saurashtra will receive light to medium rainfall today due to the Off-shore trough. Higher rainfall is expected along the Coastal Districts of Amreli, Junagadh and Porbandar.
Overall from 19th to 22nd. August scattered showers with periods of sunshine for Saurashtra.
