Westcentral Arabian Sea System Intensifies Into A Cyclonic Storm KEILA

Current Weather Conditions on 2nd November 2011 @ 12.00 pm.

The Deep Depression over Westcentral Arabian Sea moved Westward, intensified further into a Cyclonic Storm KEILA and lay centered at 0830 hrs IST of today, the 2nd November 2011 over Westcentral Arabian Sea near latitude 16.00N and longitude 55.00E, less than 75 Kms. from the Oman Coast. The system is quasi stationary but is likely to move westwards and cross south Oman and adjoining Yemen coast in a day or two. Heavy rain is expected to continue along the Oman Coast.

There is a an Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation over Southeast and adjoining Eastcentral Arabian sea. It is likely to develope into a Low Pressure area in the same region during the next two days.
