Severe Cyclonic Storm "LAILA" in the Bay of Bengal has made initial landfall on the Andhra Pradesh coast near border of Prakash & Guntur Districts of Andhra Pradesh between CHIRALA & BAPATLA. The Cyclone has weakened due to land interaction and has been close to the Andhra coast. System should be closely tracked and monitored for a possibility of its reemergence into the Bay of Bengal.
WARNING:
Strong winds are expected to continue for Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Heavy to Very Heavy rainfall for Andhra Pradesh to continue. Every care should be taken to protect life and property in these areas.
