The Weather over Saurashtra is cloudy but no rainfall has occured during the last week.
The axis of monsoon trough passes through Ferozepur, Patiala, Bareilly, Lucknow, Patana, Asansol, Sagar Island and thence Southeastwards to Eastcentral Bay of Bengal.
There is an upper air cyclonic circulation over northwest Bay of Bengal West Bengal.
The axis of monsoon is expected to shift southwards by 12th August.
Rain Forecast period: 10th August to 16th August:
Saurashtra, North Gujarat and Central Gujarat will get 2 Cms. to 4 Cms. of rain during the forecast period with 12th, 13th and 15th being the likely days for rainfall in Saurashtra. South Gujarat will get 5 Cms. to 8 Cms. of rainfall during the forecast period.
Rest of India:
Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, South Konkan, Vidarbh, Orissa, Chhatishgarh, M.P., W.B., Jharkhand, U.P. Bihar and North eastern States are expected to get 8 Cms to 15 Cms. of rain with isolated areas getting above 15 Cms.
Rainfall over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttranchal, H.P. will be medium and scattered but some isolated places could get 10 Cms. of rainfall.
