Bay System Expected To Become Cyclonic Storm "LAILA"

Deep Depression in the Southeast Bay of Bengal has tracked West Northwestwards during the last 24 hours and is currently located in the Bay of Bengal at 12N. 85E. with winds of 60 Kms. gusting to 75 Kms./Hour. The Central Pressure is 996 Mb. System is about 550 Kms. East South East of the Tamilnadu- Andhra Coast. The Wave height is 4 Meters and the System is moving West Northwestwards at 16 Kms./Hour.

Deep Depression is expected to strengthen further to Cyclonic Storm today the 18th May 2010. IMD to name it as Cyclonic Storm "LAILA".
