Monsoon 2009 Advances Further With Reduced Intensity

Current Conditions on 2nd June 2009 @ 4.30 pm.

Monsoon has advanced further along the Karnataka Coast and some parts of Andhra Pradesh apart from further advancement on the Arabian Sea arm as well as the Bay of Bengal Arm. Current intensity of Monsoon is not up to the mark. The Temperatures in North India has reduced to a great deal due to Western Disturbance.

The Temperature in Saurashtra is near Normal or a little below normal. However, humidity has increased and cloudiness has also increased.

Forecast For Rajkot, Saurashtra & Gujarat:

2nd to 8th June: The Temperature is expected to be normal to slightly below normal. Humid cloudy weather is expected. There is a fair chance of scattered showers over parts of Saurashtra on 5th & 6th June.

Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, Andaman & Nicobar 12 Cms. to 17 Cms.

Coastal Maharashtra 8 Cms. to 12 Cms.

Interior Karnataka and Interior Maharashtra Scattered showers to 3 Cms.
