Current Weather Conditions on 23rd October 2016

The Depression over Eastcentral Bay of Bengal intensified to a Deep Depression and was located near Latitude 15.3° N and Longitude 91.9°E. The System is tracking towards Myanmar coast and subsequently expected to re-curve Northwesterly direction.

It is a Deep Depression as per IMD location near  Latitude 15.5° N and Longitude 93.0°E, while NRL/JTWC has location near  Latitude 15.3° N and Longitude 91.9°E with 30 knots and 1000 mb pressure. As per JTWC/NRL the System has tracked back Westwards from its position 12 hours ago. Note: 1 knot =1.852 Kms/hour.
