Maximum Temperature rises further and is 1 C to 3 C above normal over Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch on 12th May 2016.
Kandla (Airport) recorded 44.4 C Maximum Temperature and is highest in whole Gujarat today.

The upper air cyclonic circulation over southwest Bay of Bengal off Sri Lanka coast persists and now extends upto 1.5 km above mean sea level. Under its influence, a low pressure area very
likely to form over equatorial Indian ocean & adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal around 14th
evening. It is likely to become well marked and further concentrate into a depression over the
same area by 16th.
