Western Disturbance Over North India

Current Weather Conditions on 3rd February 2012 @ 11.00 am.

As per weather forecast dated 30th January the Maximum and Minimum Temperatures over Saurashtra & Gujarat has increased. The Maximum Temperature at Rajkot was 31 C yesterday being 1 C above normal and
Minimum temperature was 17.5 C which was about 5 C above normal. Similarly most of Saurashtra as well as Gujarat experienced increase in both Maximum & Minimum Temperatures.

Forecast:

The Maximum Temperature over Saurashtra & Gujarat is expected to be high today as well as tomorrow. By tomorrow the winds will blow from the Westerly direction and hence there is a high possibility of Fog on Sunday morning over many parts of Saurashtra. The Minimum Temepratures will be above normal till Sunday.

Western Disturbance that is expected to start over North India from today and hence Jammu Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and parts of Uttrakhand hilly regions will experience snowfall from 3rd to 6th February of which heavier fall is expected on 4th and 5th February. The plains of North India will get rain.

The winds over Saurashtra will blow from North and North East from Sunday evening and the Maximum as well as the Minimum Temperatures will drop from Monday onwards and by Wednesday/Thursday this drop in Temperature will be more than 5 to 7 C. from the current Max. & Min. Temperatures
