Curently there is a Cyclonic Circulation over Gangetic West Bengal. This will keep the Monsoon trough near the Foot Hill of Himalaya for some more time. The Monsoon trough being very close to the Foot Hills of the Himalaya has affected the rainfall in the Western Region of India. South West Monsoon can revive only if this trough shift back to its normal alignment.
