Very Severe Cyclonic Storm "SIDR" In The Bay Of Bengal
Status as of 14th November 2007 @ 10.30 am.

"SIDR" is expected to move in the Northerly direction and its strength is expected to peak to day. The Cyclone is expected to weaken a little after 12 hours and is expected to be located about 500 Kms. south of Kolkatta on 15th morning 5.30 am IST. Myanmar & North East Indian States will have cloudy weather with rains from today and by tomorrow the rain will also start in Bangla Desh along with these two areas.

JTWC: Very Severe Tropical Cyclone SIDR in the Bay of Bengal located about 800 Kms south of Kolkatta at 15 N & 89.4 E. with 215 kms. winds (one minute average speed) and 937 mb. central pressure. Currently the Cyclone is moving in a Northwards direction at 14 Kms per hour. The waves are of 32 feets.

RSMC New Delhi (IMD): BOB/2007/13 dated 14-11-2007 5.30 IST the Very Severe Cyclonic Storm SIDR is located at 14.5 N & 89.5 E with 165 to 185 Kms/hour ( 3 minute average wind speed) and central pressure of 964 mb.
