Current Weather Conditions on 16th July 2015 @ 5.30 pm.
The Western Disturbance as an Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation is now over Jammu & Kashmir & neighborhood extending upto 3.1 km above mean sea level.
There is another Western Disturbance as an Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation over Afghanistan and neighborhood extending upto Mid-Tropospheric.
There is an Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation over Sub-Himalayan W.B., adjoining Jharkhand & Bihar at 1.5 km above mean sea level and it extends up to 5.8 km above sea level tilting Southwards with height. The UAC at 500 hPa is over Gangetic West Bengal & adjoining areas. There is an East West shear zone that extends up to Madhya Pradesh to the west from the UAC at 500 hPa.

Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch:
Conditions will seem to improve from 17th July onwards and scattered showers/light rainfall will start from 17th July till 19th July. Meaningful round of rainfall expected during 20th to 23rd July over whole Gujarat on one/two or multiple days. The quantum of rainfall over various regions of Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch is not given currently but this is the initial indication. Updates to this Forecast will be given on 18th July 2015.

What such difference geologically between Gondal and Rajkot that always there is a lot rain while nothing in Rajkot though hardly 35km. distance ? And before it used to no wind and a lot humid 24×7 but in last few years it has changed and so as rain , why ? is it this wind n little cold weather than normal thats not letting system work on Saurashtra and specially Rajkot ?
Average annual rainfall for Rajkot area is less than 664 mm.
Rajkot area has already received 438 mm. mostly in June.

Earlier accuweather was forecasting heavy rain on 21st to 23rd but now it has.vanished for godhra. Not doubting your forecasting but keeping fingers crossed… Bcause megh ane mot nu thekanu nathi hotu…
Saheb – this time monsoon is behaving absolutely strangely for West India i.e. Mah-Guj, West MP, North Karnataka. There has been a huge huge huge break in Monsoon which ahs never been the case in recent memory of last 10 years. Also, the monsoon trough is not coming southwards and even a glimpse of it cmoing south changes in the next update of IMD. Strangely again, North India was suppossed to get very less rain in monsoon but till now it is the only area in High Excess… Western end of Central India is suffering the most and it seems… Read more »

Many times I heard that in foreign weather department perfectly say in which day and which time rain will come.
But , I have only answer to them” we have ASKOKBHAI”
I follow u regularly and observed ur forecast nearly 100% perfect and hope this time also become true because we badly needed rain.

SIR, AS PER ACCUWEATHER RAINFALL PRIDICTIONS ON DATE 20 TO 23 JULY IS LESS THAN 10 MM WHICH IS NOT A MEANINGFULL RAIN, WHATS UR VIEW ON IT.
I would not know about their forecast.
Secondly you could refrain from using capital letters in future.
