Southwest Monsoon has set in over Kerala, today the 5th June 2015 against normal date of 1st June.
It has further advanced into entire South Arbian Sea, some more parts of Central Arabian Sea, entire Lakshadweep area and Kerala, some parts of Coastal & South Interior Karnataka and Tamilnadu, remaining parts of Southeast Bay Of Bengal and some parts of Central & Northeast Bay of Bengal.
The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) passes through Lat 13.0°N/Long. 60.0°E, Lat. 13.0°N/Long. 70.0°E, Mangaluru, Mysuru, Salem, Cuddalore, Lat. 14.0°N/Long. 86.0°E, Lat. 16.0°N/Long. 90.0°E and Lat. 21.0°N /Long. 92.0°E.
Conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest Monsoon into some more parts of central Arabian Sea, Karnataka, remaining parts of Tamilnadu, some parts of Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra Pradesh, some more parts of Central & North Bay of Bengal and Southern parts of Northeastern states during next 48 hours.

Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch
There is a Low Pressure in the Arabian Sea and is forecast to track northwards. Currently clouding associated with the Low Pressure is spread out over South & Central Arabian Sea. Some light clouding also extends near Saurashtra & Gujarat & Maharashtra.
Initially till 7th scattered rain/showers expected over Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch. Update will be given once the track of the Low Pressure can be ascertained with confidence.
