Some weather features from IMD :
The Cyclonic Circulation over Northeast Madhya Pradesh & adjoining South Uttar Pradesh persists and now seen at 1.5 km above mean sea level.
Western end of the Monsoon Trough at mean sea level continues to run close to foothills of Himalayas and Eastern end now passes through Bareilly, Bahraich, Patna, Bankura, Digha and thence Southeastwards to Eastcentral Bay of Bengal.
The Cyclonic Circulation over Westcentral & adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha coast now lies over Northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha-West Bengal coasts and seen between 1.5 & 4.5 km above mean sea level. Under its influence, a Low Pressure area is likely to form over Odisha & neighborhood during next 36 hours.
The Cyclonic Circulation over East Vidarbha & neighborhood persists and now seen between 3.1 & 5.8 km above mean sea level tilting Southwards with height.
The Cyclonic Circulation over Saurashtra & neighborhood now lies over Northeast Arabian Sea & adjoining Saurashtra and seen between 3.1 & 4.5 km above mean sea level.
The Western Disturbance now seen as a Cyclonic Circulation between 3.1 & 3.6 km above mean sea level over North Pakistan & neighborhood.
Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch: Current conditions
There is a surplus of 20% rain till 23rd August 2019 for Saurashtra & Kutch Region, and Gujarat Region also has a surplus of 19% rain till 23rd August 2019. Kutch has received lot of rain and so now has a surplus of 41% rain from normal till 23rd August 2019.
Forecast: 26th August to 1st September 2019
Note: I do not Forecast more than a week ( Referred to as Hu LGAKN in the blog comments). This update is for a longer period out and hence could be updated if warranted.
Mixed weather during the forecast period with cloudy on more days. Windy on 26th/27th over some parts Gujarat Region.
A broad Cyclonic Circulation at 700 hPa over Madhya Pradesh to Gujarat is expected around 26th/27th August. Rain will be on some days of forecast period with different areas on some times different days. Rainy weather may start initially from East Gujarat on 25th Evening.
East Central Gujarat: Most areas expected to receive between 50 mm to 75 mm total rainfall with some high rainfall centers crossing 125 mm total rainfall during the forecast period.
South Gujarat: Most areas expected to receive between 50 mm to 75 mm total rainfall with some high rainfall centers reaching 100 mm total rainfall during the forecast period.
North Gujarat: There will be big variation in the Rainfall amounts over various parts of North Gujarat. Rain will be more on Eastern side and decrease towards West side. Hence, range will be wide with different area expected to receive between 25 mm to 75 mm total rainfall with some high rainfall centers reaching 125 mm total rainfall during the forecast period.
Saurashtra: Most areas expected to receive between 30 mm to 60 mm total rainfall with some high rainfall centers reaching 85 mm total rainfall during the forecast period.
Kutch: The Rain quantum for Kutch will be updated on 26th August 2019. (Date extended from 25th to 26th August 2019)
Update 26th August: Kutch expected to receive scattered showers to 30 mm total rainfall during the forecast period.

નોર્થઇસ્ટ એમપી અને લાગુ વિસ્તારો પાર જે યુએસી ગઈ કાલે 3.1 કિમિ ના લેવલ માં હતું તે આજે હવે 1.5 કિમિ ની ઉંચાઈ સુધી છે.
ચોમાસુ ધરી નો પશ્ચિમ છેડો હાલ હિમાલય ની તળેટી બાજુ છે અને પૂર્વ બાજુ બરેલી, પટના, બાંકુરા, દીઘા અને ત્યાં થી મધ્ય પૂર્વ બંગાળ ની ખાડી તરફ લંબાય છે.
નોર્થ વેસ્ટ બંગાળ ની ખાડી માં એક અપર એર સાયક્લોનિક સર્ક્યુલેશન ઓડિશા અને પશ્ચિમ બંગાળ કિનાર નજીક છે જે 1.5 કિમિ થી 4.5 કિમિ ની ઉંચાઈ સુધી ફેલાયેલ છે. આ યુએસી ની અસર થી આવતા 36 કલાક માં ઓડિશા પર લો પ્રેસર થવાની શક્યતા છે.
એક અપર એર સાયક્લોનિક સર્ક્યુલેશન પૂર્વ વિદર્ભ અને આસપાસ છે જે 3.1 કિમિ થી 5.8 કિમિ ની ઉંચાઈ સુધી ફેલાયેલ છે અને વધતી ઉંચાઈએ દક્ષિણ તરફ ઝુકે છે.
એક અપર એર સાયક્લોનિક સર્ક્યુલેશન નોર્થઇસ્ટ અરબી સમુદ્ર અને લાગુ સૌરાષ્ટ્ર પર છે જે 3.1 કિમિ થી 4.5 કિમિ ની ઉંચાઈ સુધી ફેલાયેલ છે.
વેસ્ટર્ન ડિસ્ટર્બન્સ નોર્થ પાકિસ્તાન અને લાગુ વિસ્તાર પર 3.1 કિમિ ના યુએસી તરીકે છે.
સૌરાષ્ટ્ર, ગુજરાત અને કચ્છ:
સૌરાષ્ટ્ર કચ્છ વિસ્તાર માં 23 ઓગસ્ટ સુધી માં જે નોર્મલ થવો જોઈએ તેનાથી 20 % વધુ વરસાદ થયેલ છે. તેવીજ રીતે ગુજરાત રીજીયન (દક્ષિણ, મધ્ય અને નોર્થ ગુજરાત ) પણ 19% વધુ વરસાદ થયેલ છે. કચ્છ માં 23 ઓગસ્ટ સુધી માં નોર્મલ થી 41% વધુ વરસાદ થયેલ છે.
આગાહી: સૌરાષ્ટ્ર, ગુજરાત અને કચ્છ તારીખ 26 ઓગસ્ટ થી 1 સપ્ટેમ્બર 2019
નોંધ: હું એક અઠવાડિયા થી વધુ ની આગાહી કરતો નથી. Hu LGAKN એટલે હું લાંબા ગાળા ની આગાહી કરતો નથી ! આગાહી સમય પહેલા 3 દિવસ વહેલી આગાહી આપેલ હોય, અપડેટ ની જરૂર જણાશે તો થશે.
આગાહી ના દિવસો માં વાદળ તડકો મિક્સ વાતાવરણ રહેશે તેમાં વધુ સમય વાદળ છાયું વાતાવરણ રહેશે. વરસાદ અમુક દિવસો પડશે જે અલગ અલગ દિવસે અલગ અલગ વિસ્તારો માં પડશે. વરસાદ ની અસર ગુજરાત ના પૂર્વ ભાગ માં 25 સાંજથી દેખાય. તારીખ 26/27 ના ગુજરાત રિજિયન માં પવન વધુ રહેશે.
મધ્ય પૂર્વ ગુજરાત: મોટા વિસ્તાર માં આગાહી સમય માં કુલ 50 મિમિ થી 75 મિમિ વરસાદ ની શક્યતા અને વધુ વરસાદ વાળા સેન્ટર માં કુલ 125 મિમિ વરસાદ ને પણ વટાવી જવાની શક્યતા.
દક્ષિણ ગુજરાત: મોટા વિસ્તાર માં આગાહી સમય માં કુલ 50 મિમિ થી 75 મિમિ વરસાદ ની શક્યતા અને વધુ વરસાદ વાળા સેન્ટર માં કુલ 100 મિમિ સુધી વરસાદ ની શક્યતા.
નોર્થ ગુજરાત: અલગ અલગ વિસ્તાર માં વરસાદ ની માત્રા માં બહુ વધ ઘટ રહેશે જે પૂર્વ બાજુ વધુ વરસાદ ની માત્રા રહેશે અને પશ્ચિમ બાજુ ઓછી માત્રા રહેશે. આગાહી સમય માં કુલ 25 મિમિ થી 75 મિમિ સુધી વરસાદ ની શક્યતા અને વધુ વરસાદ વાળા સેન્ટર માં કુલ 125 મિમિ સુધી વરસાદ ની શક્યતા.
સૌરાષ્ટ્ર : મોટા વિસ્તાર માં આગાહી સમય માં કુલ 30 મિમિ થી 60 મિમિ વરસાદ ની શક્યતા અને વધુ વરસાદ વાળા સેન્ટર માં કુલ 85 મિમિ સુધી વરસાદ ની શક્યતા.
કચ્છ: વરસાદ ની માત્રા માટે અપડેટ 26 ઓગસ્ટ ના થશે. ( અપડેટ 25 ને બદલે હવે 26 ઓગસ્ટ ના થશે )
અપડેટ 26 ઓગસ્ટ: કચ્છ માં આગાહી સમય માં છુટ્ટા છવાયા ઝાપટા થી લઇ ને ઉપર માં કુલ 30 મિમિ વરસાદ.

Sir, as far as your previous update is concerned was closely studying both models ECMWF & GFS. ECMWF was showing more than 100 mm rain & gfs was showing around 40 mm rainfall in porbandar. It rained more than 100 mm yesterday. Still ECMWF is showing 140 mm for next three days and gfs is showing 10 mm for the same. Which model can be believed? Sunny morning today.
It is a difficult call !
