Relief From Heat 28th To 30th April – Saurashtra & Gujarat

Current Weather Conditions on 26th April 2011 @ 11.00 am

The Maximum Temperatures over Saurashtra and Gujarat were high on last Saturday and Sunday at most places of Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch as had been forecast on 22nd April. Subsequently, the winds have now started to blow mainly from the Westward direction and the Maximum Temperatures have dropped by a Degree or two in many places except Central Gujarat where the Maximum Temperatures have remained high. Idar was 44 Degrees C. and is probably the highest in the Country yesterday.

Forecast:

The Maximum Temperatures over Gujarat will trend downwards from Thursday. The Central Gujarat region will experience high Maximum Temperatures of 41 to 43 Degrees C. for the next two days. Maximum Temperature at Rajkot is expected to be near normal the next few days.

Note: Heat wave means that the Maximum Temperature is 4 Degrees C. above normal. Normal Maximum Temperature at Rajkot is 39.5 Degrees C. and normal for Ahmedabad is 40.5 Degrees C.
