Cyclonic Storm “NILAM” moved North-Northwestwards, crossed north Tamilnadu coast near Mahabalipuram, South of Chennai (near latitude 12.60N and longitude 80.20E) between 1600 and 1700 hrs IST of today, the 31st October 2012. It lay centred at 1730 hours IST of today, the 31st October 2012 near latitude 12.70N and longitude 79.80E, about 50 km south-southwest of Chennai. System would move Northwestwards and weaken into a Deep Depression during next 06 hours.
