Current Weather Update on 9th August 2019
The Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Northern parts of Gujarat region & adjoining South Rajasthan persists. The associated Cyclonic Circulation extending up to 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting Southwestward with height also persists.
The Monsoon Trough at mean sea level continues to pass through Bhuj, Center of Well Marked Low Pressure area over Northern parts of Gujarat Region & adjoining South Rajasthan, Shajapur, Jabalpur, Pendra Road, Digha and thence Southeastwards to Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and extends up to 2.1 km above mean sea level.
The off-shore trough at mean sea level from South Gujarat coast to Lakshadweep area persists.
The Trough from the Cyclonic Circulation associated with the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Northern parts of Gujarat Region & adjoining South Rajasthan to Jharkhand across Northern parts of Madhya Pradesh and Southeast Uttar Pradesh between 3.1km & 5.8 km above mean sea level tilting Southwards with height persists.
A fresh low pressure area is likely to form over northwest Bay of Bengal & neighborhood around 12th August.

વેલ માર્કંડ લો પ્રેસર વિસ્તાર નોર્થ ગુજરાત વિસ્તાર અને લાગુ દક્ષિણ રાજસ્થાન ઉપર છે. આનુસંગિક સાયક્લોનિક સર્ક્યુલેશન 7.6 કિમિ ની ઉંચાઈ સુધી ફેલાયેલ છે અને વધતી ઉંચાઈએ દક્ષિણ પશ્ચિમ તરફ ઝુકે છે.
ચોમાસુ ધરી ભુજ, નોર્થ ગુજરાત વિસ્તાર અને લાગુ દક્ષિણ રાજસ્થાન ના વેલ માર્કંડ લો પ્રેસર સેન્ટર, શાજાપુર,જબલપુર, પેન્દ્રા રોડ, દીઘા, અને પછી મધ્ય પૂર્વ બંગાળ ની ખાડી તરફ લંબાય છે, અને 2.1 કિમિ ની ઉંચાઈ સુધી છે.
વેલ માર્કંડ લો પ્રેસર ના આનુસંગિક યુએસી નો ટ્રફ નોર્થ ગુજરાત વિસ્તાર અને લાગુ દક્ષિણ રાજસ્થાન થી ઝારખંડ સુધી લંબાય છે અને 3.1કિમિ થી 5,8 કિમિ ની ઉંચાઈ સુધી ફેલાયેલ છે. વધતી ઉંચાઈએ દક્ષિણ તરફ ઝુકે છે
ઑફ શોર ટ્રફ દક્ષિણ ગુજરાત ના દરિયા કિનારા થી લક્ષદ્વીપ સુધી છે.
બંગાળ ની ખાડી માં 12 ઓગસ્ટ આસપાસ નવું લો પ્રેસર થવાની શક્યતા છે.
Current Weather Conditions on 7th August 2019
Some weather features from IMD :
The Deep Depression over Northwest Bay of Bengal off North Odisha/West Bengal coasts moved Northwestwards with a speed of about 04 kmph in last 6 hours and lay centered over the same region at 0830 hours IST of today, the 07th August, 2019, near Lat 21.1°N & Long 87.4°E, about 65 km Southeast of Balasore (Odisha) and about 60 km South Southwest of Digha (West Bengal). It is very likely to move initially Northwestwards and cross North Odisha/West Bengal coasts close to North of Balasore around afternoon of today, the 07th August, 2019 and thereafter to move West Northwestwards.
The Monsoon Trough at mean sea level now passes through Anupgarh, Narnaul, Etawa, Satna, Ambikapur, Chaibasa and thence to the center of the Deep Depression over Northwest Bay of Bengal and extends up to 2.1 km above mean sea level.
The Cyclonic Circulation extending up to 1.5 km above mean sea level over Haryana & neighborhood has merged with the Monsoon Trough.
The Trough from South Gujarat up to the Cyclonic Circulation associated with the Deep Depression over Northwest Bay of Bengal extending between 3.6 & 7.6 km above mean sea level, tilting Southwards with height has become less marked.
The feeble off-shore trough at mean sea level from South Gujarat coast to North Kerala coast now runs from South Maharashtra coast to Kerala coast.
A Cyclonic Circulation lies over Northwest Madhya Pradesh & neighborhood between 3.1 & 4.5 km above mean sea level.
Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch: Current conditions
There is a shortfall of 28% rain till 6th August 2019 for Saurashtra & Kutch Region and if Kutch is considered separately Kutch the shortfall is at 47% from normal, while Gujarat Region has received 11% more rainfall than normal till 6th August.
Forecast: 7th August to 12th August 2019

Cloudy weather on most days of the forecast period. Wind speeds of 25 to 50 km and at some times even above 50 km during 9th to 11th August daily over different areas of Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat depending upon the System track and its proximity to various areas of the Region. The System expected to track towards Madhya Pradesh. The Western end of The Axis of Monsoon expected to slide Southwards towards South Rajastha/North Gujarat vicinity in next few days.
South Gujarat, East Central Gujarat & North Gujarat could receive Medium/Heavy Rainfall with some places receiving Very Heavy Rainfall on some days of the forecast period. High rainfall centers could reach total of 200 mm Rainfall during the forecast period.
Saurashtra could receive Medium/Heavy Rainfall with some places receiving Very Heavy Rainfall on some days of the forecast period. High rainfall centers could reach total of 150 mm to 200 mm Rainfall during the forecast period.
Rainfall quantum in Kutch will be very dependent on the System track. If the System tracks over South Rajasthan, Kutch could receive Medium/Heavy Rainfall with some places receiving Very Heavy Rainfall on some days of the forecast period. However, if the System tracks over North Gujarat, Kutch could receive Medium Rainfall with some places receiving Heavy Rainfall on some days of the forecast period.
Short Note: Overall performance of Rainfall over whole Gujarat is dependent on the System Track. If the System track is over South Rajasthan, it will benefit North Gujarat & Kutch and if the System tracks over North Gujarat, it will benefit South Gujarat, East Central Gujarat & Saurashtra.
સૌરાષ્ટ્ર, ગુજરાત અને કચ્છ: તારીખ 7 ઓગસ્ટ થી 12 ઓગસ્ટ 2019
નોર્થ વેસ્ટ બંગાળ ની ખાડી માં ડિપ્રેસન મજબૂત થઇ ને ડીપ ડિપ્રેસન માં પરિવર્તિત થયું. જે આજે સવારે નોર્થ ઓડિશા અને પશ્ચિમ બંગાળ ના કિનારા થી 70 કિમિ જેટલું દૂર હતું. આજે બપોરે તે જમીન પર આવશે અને ત્યાર બાદ પશ્ચિમ ઉત્તર પશ્ચિમ તરફ ગતિ કરશે.
ચોમાસુ ધરી સી લેવલ પર અનૂપગઢ, નારનોલ, ઇટાવા, સતના, અંબિકાપુર, ચૈબાસા અને ત્યાંથી ડીપ ડિપ્રેસન ના સેન્ટર સુધી લંબાય છે અને 2.1 કિમિ ની ઊંચાઈ સુધી ફેલાયેલ છે.
હરિયાણા પર જે 1.5 કિમિ નું યુએસી હતું તે આ ચોમાસુ ધરી માં ભળી ગયું.
દક્ષિણ ગુજરાત થી ડીપ ડિપ્રેસન સુધી 3.6 કિમિ થી 7.6 કિમિ નું ટ્રફ હાલ ખતમ થયું. તેને બદલે નોર્થ વેસ્ટ એમપી પર એક અપર એર સાયક્લોનિક સર્ક્યુલેશન છે જે 3.1કિમિ થી 4.5 કિમિ ની ઊંચાઈ સુધી ફેલાયેલ છે.
દક્ષિણ ગુજરાત કિનારા થી નોર્થ કેરળ સુધી જે ઑફ-શોર ટ્રફ હતો તે હવે દક્ષિણ મહારાષ્ટ્ર થી કેરળ કિનારા સુધી છે.
સૌરાષ્ટ્ર કચ્છ વિસ્તાર માં 6 ઓગસ્ટ સુધી માં વરસાદ ની 28% ની ઘટ રહી છે અને જો એકલા કચ્છ માટે જોઈએ તો 47% ઘટ રહી છે, જયારે ગુજરાત વિસ્તાર માં નોર્મલ જે આ તારીખે હોવો જોઈએ તેનાથી 11% વધારે વરસાદ પડ્યો છે.
આગાહી:
સૌરાષ્ટ્ર, ગુજરાત અને કચ્છ: તારીખ 7 ઓગસ્ટ થી 12 ઓગસ્ટ 2019
નોંધ: હું એક અઠવાડિયા થી વધુ ની આગાહી કરતો નથી. Hu LGAKN એટલે હું લાંબા ગાળા ની આગાહી કરતો નથી !
આગાહી ના લગભગ દિવસો માં વાદળ છાયું વાતાવરણ તેમજ તારીખ 9 થી 11 ઓગસ્ટ દરમિયાન બહુ તેઝ પવનો દર રોજ વધી ને 25 કિમિ થી 50 કિમિ પ્રતિ કલાક સુધી ફૂંકાશે અને સિસ્ટમ ના ટ્રેક આધારિત કોઈ કોઈ સેન્ટર માં 50 કિમિ થી પણ વધુ ઝડપ ના પવનો ફૂંકાય શકેય છે. આવતા દિવસો માં ચોમાસુ ધરી નો પશ્ચિમ છેડો દક્ષિણ રાજસ્થાન /નોર્થ ગુજરાત આસપાસ આવે, જેથી સિસ્ટમ ટ્રેક પણ દક્ષિણ રાજસ્થાન નોર્થ ગુજરાત પર થી પાસ થાય.
દક્ષિણ ગુજરાત, નોર્થ ગુજરાત અને મધ્ય પૂર્વ ગુજરાત માં આગાહી ના અમુક દિવસો મધ્યમ/ભારે વરસાદ અને અમુક જગ્યાએ અતિ ભારે વરસાદ ની શક્યતા. આગાહી દરમિયાન વધુ વરસાદ વાળા અમુક સેન્ટરો માં કુલ વરસાદ 200 mm. સુધી પહોંચે.
સૌરાષ્ટ્ર માં આગાહી ના અમુક દિવસો મધ્યમ/ભારે વરસાદ અને અમુક જગ્યાએ અતિ ભારે વરસાદ ની શક્યતા. આગાહી દરમિયાન વધુ વરસાદ વાળા અમુક સેન્ટરો માં કુલ વરસાદ 150 થી 200 mm. સુધી પહોંચે.
કચ્છ : જો સિસ્ટમ ટ્રેક દક્ષિણ રાજસ્થાન પરથી પાસ થાય તો કચ્છ માં આગાહી ના અમુક દિવસો મધ્યમ/ભારે વરસાદ અને અમુક જગ્યાએ અતિ ભારે વરસાદ ની શક્યતા. અને જો સિસ્ટમ નોર્થ ગુજરાત પર થી પાસ થશે તો કચ્છ માં આગાહી ના અમુક દિવસો મધ્યમ વરસાદ અને અમુક જગ્યાએ ભારે વરસાદ ની શક્યતા.
ટૂંકમાં : સિસ્ટમ ટ્રેક દક્ષિણ રાજસ્થાન પરથી પાસ થાય તો નોર્થ ગુજરાત અને કચ્છ ને વધુ ફાયદો થાય અને જો સિસ્ટમ ટ્રેક નોર્થ ગુજરાત થી પાસ થાય તો દક્ષિણ ગુજરાત, મધ્ય ગુજરાત અને સૌરાષ્ટ્ર ને વધુ ફાયદો થાય.

The new low which is to be formed I think will be weaker then last one and right now it’s track to east mp to north mp and towards northeast direction so there is no chance of rain for Gujarat of that system. Am I right sir?
