The Deep Depression in the Bay of Bengal has intensified to a Cyclonic Storm "THANE" and has mainly tracked Northwards during the past 24 hours. Current location of "THANE" is 12.8N 86.9E about 700 Kms. mainly East of Chennai.<\/p>\n
As Per NRL 55 knots (100 Kms\/hour) winds 982 mb. pressure
As per IMD 40 knots (75 to 85 Kms.\/hour) winds 994 mb. pressure<\/p>\n
Forecast:<\/p>\n
The Cyclonic Storm "THANE" is expected track towards the Tamilnadu\/Andhra Coast during the next two days. It is expected to weaken before any landfall even if it strengthens further.<\/p>\n
