The current KOLA DMI stands at +0.19\u00b0C<\/strong>, keeping the Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) firmly within the Neutral zone of -0.4\u00b0C to +0.4\u00b0C<\/strong>. While the DMI remains neutral, both the western and southeastern tropical Indian Ocean are anomalously warm, with WTIO at +0.81\u00b0C<\/strong> and SETIO at +0.62\u00b0C<\/strong>, indicating a basin-wide positive SST anomaly<\/strong> rather than a pronounced west\u2013east dipole. The KOLA Weekly DMI plot shows the current neutral IOD status, while the accompanying WTIO and SETIO plot highlights the broader Indian Ocean SST warmth and the relatively small difference between the two regions that results in the present +0.19\u00b0C DMI<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
