The East-West shear zone roughly along Lat. 15\u00b0N between 4.5 & 7.6 km above mean sea level
persists.
The off-shore trough at mean sea level now runs from South Gujarat coast to North Kerala
coast.
The cyclonic circulation over Westcentral Bay of Bengal adjoining North Andhra Pradesh
coast now lies over North & adjoining Central Bay of Bengal between 1.5 & 7.6 km above mean
sea level tilting southwestwards with height.
The cyclonic circulation over central parts of Uttar Pradesh persists and now seen at 3.1 km
above mean sea level.
A cyclonic circulation lies over north Pakistan & adjoining Punjab extending up to 1.5 km
above mean sea level.
Some other weather features that would develop during the forecast period:
The Western end of Axis of Monsoon is expected to come South of its normal position for few days. Also UAC over Maharashtra and an UAC over Arabian Sea at 700 hPa level will create a broad circulation as they move Northwards. There will be a trough extending from future UAC\u00a0 over Gujarat State to Central Arabian Sea.
Above various factors will be conducive for rainfall rounds over Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch 6th-12th July 2023.<\/p>\r\n
There is a 200% excess rain till 4th July 2023 for Saurashtra & Kutch Region and if Kutch is considered separately, Kutch excess of 546% from normal, while Gujarat Region has a excess rainfall of 37% than normal till 4th July 2023.
