The Depression in the Bay of Bengal today intensified to a Deep Depression located at 17.5N and 91.5E, about 350 Kms. North Northeast from Myanmar Coast. The Central Pressure is 989 Mb. and winds of 80 Kms.\/hour gusting up to 95 Kms.\/Hour. based on 1 minute average wind speed. As per IMD current winds are 60 Kms. gusting upto 75 Kms. based on 3 minutes average wind speed and 1000 Mb. pressure.<\/p>\n
This System is expected to strengthen further to a Tropical Storm "GIRI" within few hours. Current forecast track is Northerly and then Northeast towards Myanmar.<\/p>\n
