Bulletin No. BOB 01\/2012\/01<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0Dated: 10.10. 2012 .<\/span><\/span><\/span> Time of issue: 2200 hours IST<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Sub: Depression over northeast Bay of Bengal.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Latest satellite imagery indicates that a depression has formed over northeast Bay of Bengal and lay centred at 2030 hrs IST of today, the 10<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/sup><\/span> October, 2012 near latitude 21.0<\/span><\/span>0<\/span><\/sup><\/span>N and longitude 91.0.<\/span><\/span>0<\/span><\/sup><\/span>E, about 350 km southeast of Kolkata (West Bengal), 150 km southeast of Khepupara (Bangladesh) and 150 km south of Hatia (Bangladesh) The system is likely to intensify further, move northwards and cross Bangladesh coast near Hatia by tomorrow the 11<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/sup><\/span> October, 2012 morning . <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Under the influence of this system, rainfall at most places with isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura , Assam and Meghalaya during next 48 hours.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The next bulletin will be issued at 0830 hrs IST of tomorrow, the 11<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/sup><\/span> October, 2012<\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (IMD Bulletin Over)<\/p>\n Earlier Low Pressure Over Northwest Bay of Bengal and Coastal Odisha had crossed the Odisha Coast on 9th October and subsequently weakened the same evening.<\/p>\n My observation is that there were two successive Low Pressure Systems and not one as has been observed by IMD in their morning Report of 10th October wherein they say<\/p>\n “The low pressure area over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal Odisha JTWC had 93B.INVEST which was monitored till 9th Evening. The other system currently being monitored by JTWC\u00a0 is 94B.INVEST.<\/p>\n NRL Satellite Image of 9th October Evening shows the clouding (green blob) remnant of First Low Pressure after crossing over Odisha.
