The Low Pressure that developed over around Andaman & Nicobar has tracked mainly westwards and strengthened to a WMLP and subsequently to a Depression Yesterday over Westcentral Bay of Bengal. Today the Depression lay centered at 11.30 am IST today, the 12th October, 2020, near latitude 16.0\u00b0N and longitude 84.5\u00b0E, about 250 km east-southeast of Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh). It is very likely to intensify further into a Deep Depression during next 12 hours. It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and cross north Andhra Pradesh coast between Narsapur & Vishakhapatnam, close to Kakinada during the early morning of 13th October, 2020.
A Trough runs from the Cyclonic Circulation associated with the above system to Eastcentral Arabian Sea roughly along Lat. 15\u00b0N across Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Coastal & North Interior Karnataka between 3.1 & 5.8 km above mean sea level.
Remnants of the current Depression are likely to emerge as a Low Pressure Area over Eastcentral & adjoining Northeast Arabian Sea off north Konkan-south Gujarat coasts around 15th October, 2020.
