As per IMD :<\/p>\n

Southwest monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of South Interior Karnataka, remaining parts of Tamilnadu & Puducherry, some parts of Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra Pradesh, remaining parts of Southwest Bay of Bengal and some more parts of Westcentral Bay of Bengal. The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) passes through Lat. 14\u00b0N\/Long. 60\u00b0E, Lat. 14\u00b0N\/Long. 70\u00b0E, Shirali, Chitradurga, Arogyavaram, Sriharikota, Lat. 14\u00b0N\/ Long. 85\u00b0E, Lat. 19\u00b0N\/ Long. 90\u00b0E, Agartala, Lumding, north Lakhimpur and Lat. 29\u00b0N\/ Long. 95\u00b0E. Conditions are becoming favorable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of Central Arabian Sea, remaining parts of Karnataka and Rayalaseema, some parts of south Konkan & Goa, Telangana, some more parts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Central Bay of Bengal during next 48 hours. Conditions are very likely to become favorable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of Maharashtra, Telangana & Coastal Andhra Pradesh in subsequent 2\u00ad-3 days.<\/p>\n

Current Situation and Conclusions:<\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

Southwest Monsoon onset was early on 29th May 2018 when it entered most parts of Kerala as well as some parts of Tamilnadu, however, the progress during the last one week was slugish. It just covered the whole Tamilnadu today.<\/p>\n

An East-West trough runs from Punjab to Gangetic West Bengal across Haryana, North Madhya Pradesh, North Chhattisgarh & Jharkhand extending up to 1.5 km above mean sea level.<\/p>\n

There is an East west shear zone along 12 \u00b0N\/14 \u00b0N over Peninsular India.<\/p>\n

The Monsoon winds will get more active from 6th\/7th June. Southwest Monsoon expected to reach Goa by 6th\/7th, Mumbai by 8th\/9th and whole Konkan by 10th June.<\/p>\n

Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch:<\/p>\n

Winds mainly will blow from Westerly direction. Increase in winds from 6th\/7th along with more clouds. Pre-monsoon activity will continue on some days over scattered places of Saurashtra & Gujarat and gradually move Northwards to over rest of Gujarat.<\/p>\n
