Current Weather Conditions on 5th July 2016<\/h3>\n

The Southwest monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of North Arabian sea, Kutch area, remaining parts of Gujarat region and some more parts of West Rajasthan.<\/h3>\n

The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) passes through Lat. 24.0\u00b0N\/ Long. 60.0\u00b0E, Lat. 24.0\u00b0N\/ Long. 70.0\u00b0E, Jodhpur, Phalodi and Lat. 28.0\u00b0N\/ Long. 71.0\u00b0E.<\/h3>\n

The Low Pressure area over Bihar & adjoining East Uttar Pradesh now become a Well Marked Low Pressure area over East Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Bihar. The associated Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level. The system is likely to concentrate into a Depression during next 24 hours.<\/h3>\n

The trough at mean sea level runs from Punjab to Northeast Bay of Bengal across Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Center of Well Marked Low Pressure area and Gangetic West Bengal.<\/h3>\n

The off\u00adshore trough at mean sea level runs from south Gujarat coast to north Kerala coast.<\/h3>\n

The Western Disturbance as a trough in Mid\u00adtropospheric westerlies roughly along longitude 77.0\u00b0E & North of Latitude 30.0\u00b0N persists.<\/h3>\n

UAC over Kutch is now not seen.<\/h3>\n

Although Monsoon has officially set in over most parts of Kutch and whole Saurashtra & Gujarat, there has not been much rain over Kutch where the total rainfall till date is just 3.26% of the Seasonal average. Similarly many Districts of Saurashtra have not received significant rainfall till date where Districts of Jamnagar , Devbhumi Dwarka, Rajkot & Porbandar have received 6.95% to 10.88% of the Seasonal average. Many Taluka level centers have just received 5% or less rainfall.<\/h3>\n

The Well Marked Low Pressure over East U.P. and adjoining areas is expected to concentrate into a Depression by tomorrow. The System is expected to track towards Madhya Pradesh and remain in M.P. and vicinity for few days.<\/h3>\n

Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch:<\/h3>\n

Scattered showers light rain expected during the forecast period over Saurashyra & Kutch. Due to Off-shore trough South Gujarat will get light, medium and heavy rains on various days during the forecast period. Madhya Pradesh is expected to benefit the most from this System and hence the border areas of East Central Gujarat and North Gujarat could benefit from it. The quantity of rain will be completely variable. Rest of Gujarat can get scattered showers, light rain with few places getting medium rain. High speed winds from Arabian Sea will blow over Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch during the forecast period. Cloudy weather expected on many days of forecast period.<\/h3>\n
