Current Weather Conditions on 16th July 2013 @ 11.00 am.

There as been a good round of rainfall over Saurashtra Gujarat & Kutch till period ending 14th July. There were scattered showers over some places of the region yesterday. The humidity over Saurashtra Gujarat & Kutch is high due to moisture incursion from the Arabian Sea. A Low Pressure areas has developed over the Northwest Bay of Bengal near West Bengal -Odisha Coast yesterday. The UAC over Madhya Pradesh and vicinity has merged with the UAC associated with the Low Pressure. The 700 Mb. East West shear zone runs from North Gujarat- South Rajasthan vicinity to the UAC near Odisha vicinity as can be seen from the chart below.

Scattered light to medium Rain/showers over Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch on 16th & 17th. Subsequently the area and quantum of rain will reduce during 18th to 20th July. The current Low Pressure over the Bay of Bengal will not affect Saurashtra & Gujarat during the forecast period.
