Widespread Rainfall Expected Over Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat During 3rd To 10th July 2020

Current Weather Conditions:

Few observations from IMD and other weather parameters:

The monsoon trough at mean sea level continues to pass through Ganganagar, Narnaul, Aligarh, Sultanpur, Patna, Raiganj, Shillong and Imphal.

The Cyclonic Circulation over South coastal Odisha & neighborhood between 3.6 km & 5.8 km above mean sea level tilting Southwestwards with height persists.

The Cyclonic Circulation over Westcentral & adjoining Northwest Arabian Sea extending up to 5.8 km above mean sea level persists.

The Cyclonic Circulation over South Gujarat & neighborhood tilting Southwestwards with height between 3.1 km & 5.8 km above mean sea level persists.

The off-shore trough from North Maharashtra coast to Karnataka coast persists

Forecast: Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch for 3rd to 10th July 2020

UAC at 700 hPa would benefit Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch on different days as per the location of the UAC, giving rainfall on different days at various locations.

50% of Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch: Possibility Light/Medium rain on some days at different locations with isolated heavy rain. Cumulative rainfall during the forecast period between 30 to 50 mm total.

50% of Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch: Possibility Light/Medium/Heavy rain on some days at different locations with isolated very heavy rain. Cumulative rainfall during the forecast period between 50 to 100 mm total.

Cumulative rainfall over some of the places with very heavy rains would total up to 200 mm during the forecast period.
