Current Conditions on 6th August 2019

નોર્થ વેસ્ટ બંગાળ ની ખાડી માં જે WMLP હતું તે આજે મજબૂત બની ડિપ્રેસન માં ફેરવાયું છે અને નોર્થ ઓડિશા પશ્ચિમ બંગાળ ના કિનારા થી થોડું છેટું. તેને આનુસંગિક સાયક્લોનિક સક્યુલેશન 7.6 કિમિ ની ઉંચાઈ સુધી ફેલાયેલ છે. આ સિસ્ટમ હજુ મજબૂત થાય તેવી શક્યતા છે અને પશ્ચિમ ઉત્તર પશ્ચિમ તરફ આગળ વધશે. હાલ ના અંદાજ પ્રમાણે સિસ્ટમ દક્ષિણ રાજસ્થાન/ગુજરાત બાજુ આવતી હોય, એની અસર રૂપે સૌરાષ્ટ્ર, ગુજરાત અને કચ્છ ના બહોળા વિસ્તાર માં વરસાદ નો એક રાઉન્ડ તારીખ 8 થી 11 સુધી ના આવશે.

Latest observations and Satellite images indicate that a Depression has formed over Northwest Bay of Bengal off north Odisha-West Bengal coasts and lay centered at 0830 hrs IST of today, the 6th August, 2019 near Latitude 20.5 N and Longitude 88.00 E, about 160 km southeast of Balasore (Odisha) and about 130 km South-Southeast of Digha (West Bengal). It is very likely to intensify into a Deep Depression during next 24 hours. It is very likely to move West Northwestwards across Odisha – West Bengal coasts during next 48 hours.

System is expected to track towards Gujarat/South Rajsthan, and hence a round of Rainfall is expected for Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch during 8th to 11th August.
