One More Round Of Rainfall Over Gujarat State 11th-17th September 2020 – Monsoon To Continue
વરસાદ નો વધુ એક રાઉન્ડ ગુજરાત રાજ્ય માટે 11 સપ્ટેમ્બર થી 17 સપ્ટેમ્બર 2020 – ચોમાસુ હજુ ચાલુ રહેશે
Current Weather Conditions:
Few observations from IMD, other observations and weather parameters:
The Axis of Monsoon Trough at mean sea level continues to pass through Amritsar, Rohtak, Tikamgarh, Sidhi, Jamshedpur,
Balasore, Bankura, Digha and thence Eastwards to Northeast Bay of Bengal.
There is an Off-Shore trough at mean sea level from North Maharashtra coast to Kerala coast.
There is an Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation over Eastcentral Arabian Sea off Goa/Karnataka coast extending up to 3.1 km above mean sea level. The UAC expected to track Northwards next few days to Mumbai Latitude.
There is an Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation over Westcentral Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh Coast extending up to 3.1 km above mean sea level. A low pressure area is likely to form over the same area around 13th September
There is an East-west shear zone roughly along 15°N across the peninsular India between 3.1 km above mean sea level across the UAC over both the Basins.

Forecast: Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch 11th to 17th September 2020
75% Saurashtra & East Central Gujarat:
Possibility of Light/Medium/Heavy rain over scattered areas on some days and wider areas on other days at different locations with isolated Very Heavy rainfall during the Forecast period. Cumulative Rainfall 35 mm to 75 mm with some extreme rain centers could get cumulative more than 125 mm during the entire forecast period. Thunder expected on some days with very windy conditions and mostly medium winds during rest of the forecast period.
25% Saurashtra & 25% East Central Gujarat:
Possibility of Light/Medium rain over scattered areas on some days and wider areas on other days at different locations with isolated Heavy rainfall during the Forecast period. Cumulative Rainfall up to 35 mm with some rain centers could get cumulative up to 50 mm. during the entire forecast period. Thunder expected on some days with very windy conditions and mostly medium winds during rest of the forecast period.
South Gujarat:
Possibility of Light/Medium/Heavy rain over scattered areas on some days and wider areas on other days at different locations with isolated Very Heavy rainfall during the Forecast period. Cumulative Rainfall 35 mm to 75 mm with some extreme rain centers could get cumulative more than 125 mm during the entire forecast period. Thunder expected on some days with very windy conditions and mostly medium winds during rest of the forecast period.
North Gujarat & Kutch:
Possibility of Light/Medium rain over scattered areas on some days and wider areas on other days at different locations with isolated Heavy rainfall during the Forecast period. Cumulative Rainfall up to 35 mm with some rain centers could get cumulative up to 50 mm. during the entire forecast period. Thunder expected on some days with very windy conditions and mostly medium winds during rest of the forecast period.
