Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation Over Gujarat State & Vicinity – Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation Over East Central Bay Of Bengal Expected To Become A Low Pressure Helping Monsoon Progress

Current Weather Conditions:
The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) continue passes through Lat.14°N/Long.60°E, Lat.14°N/Long.70°E, Karwar, Shimoga, Tumukuru, Chittoor, Chennai , 16°N/Long.85°E, Lat.20°N/Long.90°E and Lat.22°N/Long.93°E.
There is an Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation over Eastcentral Bay of Bengal extending up to Mid-Tropospheric level. Under its influence, a Low Pressure area is likely to form over East Central Bay of Bengal in a day or two. It is likely to move West-Northwest wards. Under the influence of UAC/Low Pressure, Southwest Monsoon expected to progress further next four days, covering most of the Peninsular States, Northeastern States, remaining Bay of Bengal, Some parts of Central Arabian Sea, Goa, parts of Konkan and other parts of Maharasthra, West Bengal & Odisha.
There is an Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation over Gujarat State & vicinity at 3.1 km above mean sea level.

Forecast: Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch for 8th to 14th June 2020
There is moisture incursion from the Arabian Sea and due to UAC at 700 hPa scattered Pre-Monsoon activity with thunder and windy conditions will continue over parts of Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch at different locations on different days of the forecast period. Outcome from the Potential Low Pressure from Bay of Bengal for Gujarat State if any will be updated on 10th/11th June.
