Weather Conditions on 24th February 2018

Overall the Maximum as well as the Minimum Temperature had increased during 20th to 22nd February with Maximum reaching in the range of 36.0 C to 37.0 C over hot places of Gujarat. Subsequently the Maximum Temperature decreased marginally during the last two days, however, they are still above normal. The Normal Maximum has also increased during the week. There was fog on 23rd as well as 24th February over parts of Western Saurashtra & Kutch.

Rajkot Maximum of on 24th February was 34.3 C (2 C above normal ) and Minimum of 17.3 C (1 C above normal ).
Ahmedabad Maximum of on 24th February was 34.3 C (3 C above normal ) and Minimum of 17.2 C (2 C above normal ).
Surat Maximum of on 24th February was 35.8 C (3 C above normal ) and Minimum of 21.0 C (4 C above normal ).

Forecast: Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch 24th February To 3rd March 2018

The Temperature will be above normal and will be generally warmer than normal during the forecast period. The Maximum Temperature will increase further during 26th February to 3rd March over most parts of Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch and the Maximum Temperature will exceed 38 C and range between 38 to 40 C on few days. The weather expected to be cloudy in some places during 26th to 1st March with increase in upper level instability and upper level moisture. Few days back there was a possibility of unseasonal scattered showers/rain over few places of Gujarat & Saurashtra, however, currently the chances have decreased. Update will be given on Monday if necessary.
